The MIND Diet Cooking Demonstration
Studies show that lifestyle changes—such as regular exercise, stress management, and healthy eating—can help reduce the risk of cognitive decline. Join us as we take a closer look at one of these key areas: nutrition.
The MIND (Mediterranean-DASH Intervention for Neurodegenerative Delay) Diet combines two heart-healthy eating patterns, specifically designed to support brain health. In 2024, registered dietitian, Maggie Moon released the second edition of her book, The MIND Diet: A Scientific Approach to Enhancing Brain Function and Helping Prevent Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
During this session, we will explore the principles of the MIND diet. You’ll have the opportunity to watch a live cooking demonstration by local chef Ramona Young and enjoy a sample of food prepared as described in the book. You will also leave with practical tips for preparing simple, brain-healthy meals you can recreate at home.
